National Portrait Gallery

We constructed scaffolding for a heritage project, London’s National Portrait Gallery which is currently in construction undertaking its biggest redevelopment since the building in St Martin’s Place opened in 1896. Constructing such a structure has been challenging and required careful planning. For a significant refurbishment of the building, scaffolding had to be carried out with caution and constructed without the need for major intervention into the historic fabric of the building.

City of London Freemen's School

The refurbishment project of the 168-year-old City of London Freemen’s School. The project included the renovation works to the Grade II listed Main House, and a number of new buildings including junior school, dining hall and assembly hall as well as landscaping. As one of the main challenges, the works on this historic building took place within the live school campus. Today, the newly refurbished building provides contemporary sixth form facilities to complement the heritage of the iconic building.

Canterbury Christ Church University

We assembled scaffolding for a new four-storey building for Canterbury Christ Church University that was built on the backlands of the former Canterbury Prison site. The project included the new build four-storey standalone 18,000m2 state-of-the-art Science, Engineering, Technology, and Health teaching facility together with a lower ground car park and construction of a single-storey Energy Centre. Scaffolding was initially constructed with floor-level lifts, adapted for brickwork.  A great deal of design went into this project, particularly for the gantry and hoist support scaffolds.

CitizenM London Victoria hotel

The creation of hybrid hotel model for global hotel group, citizenM on Vauxhall Bridge Road. This project involved the supported structure for mast climbers and cradles for the construction of new luxury hotel incorporating basement and ground floor levels, with ten upper floors – 226 room in total. The hotel was built using citizenM’s innovative modular construction method. Each of the rooms was prefabricated one-by-one in an offsite factory and then moved to the site where assembled to make up the hotel.

Whiteland's House

A residential development, Whitelands House (Chelsea) required external maintenance and redecorations of a mansion block in London, SW3. The project included full scaffolding of the 9-storey block and lightwells and the works included Crittall windows repairs, render repairs, brickwork repairs, redecorations and cleaning. The project included extensive liaison with the residents of the 113 apartments and the commercial leaseholders on the ground floor.

The King's Chapel

We completed this refurbishment project of Kings Chapel. The project provided a sensitive restoration and reconfiguration of a 19th-century chapel to create two contemporary high-end dwellings in Chelsea. We assembled scaffolding including various gantries, independent scaffolds, a temporary roof, temporary staircases, and a passenger goods hoist.

UCL - University College London

This project involved assembling scaffolding for a major refurbishment program of University College London’s Christopher Ingold Building.
The project was challenging as it was carried out in term time. With that reason, safety access considerations had to be made for the department’s staff and students. All work had to be planned to keep disruption to an absolute minimum. Although the building is not listed, it is located within the Bloomsbury Conservation area and so, all work was carried out as a listed building project.

New Oxford Street

A refurbishment project, 112-116 New Oxford Street consisting of stunning fitted offices with offices and meeting rooms ranging up to nine storeys high at the building size of 11,289 SF.  This project involved constructing scaffolding to provide access for window decoration and complex heritage stoneworks at the mixed retail and office building. In addition to the independent scaffold, we have also assembled full-height framing for an advertising banner.

Sheraton Grand London Park Lane

We constructed scaffolding for a large project renovation to create The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane. The renovation combined the modern touches of a five-star hotel with careful restoration to retain the original elegance of this historic property. Carried out in two phase the refurbishment consisted of 303 guest rooms, public areas and back of house. A key challenge to the project was working within a fully live and operational hotel which had to be kept running at all times.
